Vacation plans

I have some summer vacation plans. First, I will travel to Hiroshima and go to Nagasaki to see my grand parents with my family. We traveled to Ooita last year and we had a good time there! Second, I want to go to mountain or sea with my friends to go camping. I think we will be busy next year so I want to go this year. Finally, I want to go to driving school. I want to take a driving license until end of this year. As you can read, I have many things that I want to do on my summer vacation!

WORLD CUP

World Cup is very exciting! I watched Germany vs England game yesterday. I couldn't understand why England's second goal didn't count as a score. I think that the ball entered inside of the goal line certainly before keeper caught it. I cheered England up but Germany won the game 4-1.
By the way, it was unbelievable that Japan advanced to the final tournament! I was not interested in World Cup until Japan won Cameroon 1-0, so I started to watch World Cup from Netherlands vs Japan game but Japan lose the game 0-1. I couldn't watch Japan vs Denmark game because it started at 3:00 a.m. When I wake up the day, every news said Japan won Denmark 3-1! I was surprised and I found that Japan won each games when I didn't watch them. Which do you think is better I should watch Japan vs Paraguay game or shouldn't? I will watch it if I don't want to sleep:l

About blogging

I enjoy writing my blog but I want more comments in it. I may know the reason why I cannot get any comments. I think articles in my blog are too long so it may not be easy to read, and I write an article twice or three times a week so you may not find my blog. I write articles for Writing class more often than articles about my life. For example, there are the most articles of Book Reviews and Typing Speed Homework. I want to write about my life more from now on! By the way, I changed the design of my blog and I added some pictures and photos into my past articles recently, so I want you to watch my blog more often. I will be happy if you give me some comments!

FROM JUNE 18th TO 20th

I felt so bad last weekend. I had a bad stomachache in the morning on June 18th. I didn't want to go to university. The bus came too late because of heavy rain so I couldn't get attendance card of first period. The teacher rarely delivery the card but he did on the day! It was unlucky day.

June 19th, I took an essay test for studying abroad. We had to write about the merit which I will give someone after studying abroad. It was difficult for me, but I did my best.

June 20th was the Father's day but I didn't do anything for my father. I will buy something he likes today.

★THE HOUSE OF THE SEVEN GABLES

I read "THE HOUSE OF THE SEVEN GABLES" written by Nathaniel Hawthorne. We learned about Hawthorne and we watched "Bewitched" on DVD because it has an episode that Samantha and Darrin go to the house of the seven gables.

This story was scary but it had love story at the last.

There are many people in the story, so I introduce them at first.

Miss Hepzibah Pyncheon lived in the House of the Seven Gables and she opened a store in the house. She was old and she wasn't liked by people in her town, so she didn't work in the store.

Mr. Holgrave was young and he lived in one of the seven gables. He took pictures of people's faces. He was a only friend of Hepzibah.

Judge Pyncheon was Hepzibah's cousin but she didn't like him. He had a cold face, so she was afraid of him.

Colonel Pyncheon build the house taking the land from Matthew Maule who was the wizard. The house and Colonel might be cursed by Maule, because Colonel was suddenly dead in his chair the same day that he finished building the house. His family had been unhappy since then.

Mr. Venner was an old man. He did little jobs for people. He came the store and talked with Hepzibah sometimes.

Phoebe Pyncheon was Hepzibah's little cousin. She came to the house from the country and she wanted to work in the store for her old cousin.

Clifford Pyncheon was Hepzibah's brother. Phoebe thought that he was dead but he came to the house and the three coucins lived in the house together.

Then, I write about the latter half of the story.

Hepzibah became happy after Phoebe visited the house, and she was more happy when Clifford came to the house. They went to the garden with Holgrave and Mr. Venner on Sunday. Phoebe liked white flowers called "Alice's Flowers" in the garden. However, Hepzibah didn't want to see the Judge becouse he often came the house to put Clifford in the prison. Clifford went to prison for 30 years because the Judge thought he was a murder of Colonel. One day, Hepzibah had to take the Judge to Clifford but he was not in his bedroom so she went back to the Judge.

Suddenly Clifford was there. His face was very white.
"Hepzibah," he said. "Now we can dance, now we can play! Look!"
Hepzibah went quickly into the room. There was Judge Pyncheon, dead in his chair!

Then, Clifford and Hepzibah went away.

Actually, Clifford was not the murder, because Colonel had a bad heart, and the Judge had a bad heart too. Holgrave told that to Phoebe. He loved her and when he asked "Do you love me?" and she answerd "Yes, I do", Hepzibah and Clifford came back! The Judge's money and his big country house are theirs now!! But Hepzibah didn't know whether the house and the land were hers or not. Clifford said that they didn't need that to her.

"You're right," Holgrave said. "And it isn't your land."
"But how do you know?" Phoebe asked.
Holgrave looked at her. "My family knows," he said.
"I'm a Maule--but I'm not a wizard!"

His real name was Holgrave Maule!

☆BLACKOUT★

I got up about 6:30 today because I wanted to wash my hair. After I finished washing, I tried to turn a hair dryer on, but I couldn't. I found that washing machine didn't move too. Then I went to living room, light, TV, refrigerator, and any other households didn't work. It was not breaker's problem, because my neighborhood were dark too. My mother called the power company by her cell phone, but the blackout continued over 30 minutes:( Though I didn't feel fear, I had a trouble using the dryer!

About my keitai

I love my keitai! It is pink and very thin DOCOMO's cell phone. I bought it two years ago.

It has mail, Internet, camera, and TV functions. I use it everyday. When I have free time, I see my cell phone at first. If I get some mails, I send replies, if not, I watch some mobile sites. I use mail rather than phone. I get little call everyday, but I get many mails including mail magazines everyday. When I watch a beautiful or interesting thing, I take a photo by my cell phone's camera. I rarely watch my cell phone's TV, because it doesn't catch TV programs clearly. I want to decorate my cell phone because it chips a little. If I succeed in decorating, I get to like my keitai more!

KUMAMOTO

I think sightseeing places in Kumamoto are fascinating. I'd like to write about some famous places in Kumamoto.

I think Kumamoto Castle is the most famous place in Kumamoto. Kiyomasa Kato was the first lord of the castle and it was called "impregnable castle". He made many structures against the enemies, for example, there are stone walls called "Musha-gaeshi" which invader cannot climb. "Honmaru Palace" is the most beautiful place and it was restored in 2007. Many people from other prefecture and other countries visit the castle, though the people in Kumamoto don't visit frequently. I've watched the TV program about Kumamoto Castle. It said that the castle is elected one of the greatest castles in Japan.

Aso is one of my favorite places in Kumamoto. Mt. Aso is the most famous place in Aso because it has the biggest caldera in the world. "Aso Farm Land" is a theme park of nature and health and it has tent hotels. I've visited there several times. There are a lot of hotels in Aso and I've used some of the hotels for induction of high school and university. I've also been camping in Aso with my junior high school mates. I like "Cuddly Dominion" which is a zoo in Aso, because I can take a walk with lovely dogs there. I didn't like dogs until I went to there, but I got to like dogs now.

There is beautiful ocean in Amakusa. I've gone dolphin watching there. Dolphins came really close to our ship. I think Amakusa is a historical place and Shiro Amakusa is famous person. He commanded "the War of Shimabara and Amakusa" and there are some statues of him. "Ai-no-Amakusa-mura" is a shop selling products in Amakusa but it has a big statue of Shiro. I've watched it when I went to there in order to cheer my father running marathon. It is called "Pearl-line Marathon" because pearl-kan which is a kind of orange is speciality of Amakusa. My father can get a pearl-kan as a prize of participation and it tastes very nice.

Ueki is not famous place but I live near to Ueki so I want to write about it. Watermelon is speciality of Ueki so you can find many plastic greenhouses to raise it. You can buy it from May but it is a little expensive. I recommend that you should buy it in summer because it is good price and tastes the best then. There are a lot of hot springs in Ueki and they are called "Ueki-Onsen-Gai" and it may be called "Ueki Spa Town" in English. In August, there is a big festival in Ueki and it is called "Hatten-Sai". Many people in Ueki gather the festival so the road is congested with cars. You may think Ueki is the country but I love Ueki.

As you can see, there are a lot of places to go sightseeing, beautiful nature, lovely animals and nice foods in Kumamoto.

Using the computer

I have a computer in my house. It is NEC but it moves very slowly so I want to buy new one. I'm interested in Mac's computer because I use it in Writing class and I feel that I can use it more easily than Windows' computer. I use the computer at KGU to do my homework more often than my computer. When I write my blog in English, I use my computer. I watch someone's blog or I look for the information that I want to know in my free time, I use my computer too.

MY BROTHER

The field day of my brother's elementary school was held on May 29th. He ran in the footrace and relay as a representative of his team. I went to see it after noon because I had to take biology class at KGU in the morning. When I arrived at his school's ground, my father's family and my mother's family had already come. We started to eat lunch with my brother. I heard that he won first prize in the footrace of his grade in the morning. I worried that he ate snacks more than his lunch. However he won first prize in the relay too. He did his best and he had a nice day!

I think Kumamoto has many places to go sightseeing. I'd like to write about some famous places in Kumamoto.

Finally, I write about Ueki. It is not famous place but I live in near to Ueki so I want to write about it. Watermelon is speciality of Ueki so you can find many plastic greenhouses to raise it. There are a lot of hot springs there and they are called Ueki Spa Town.

As you can see, there are a lot of places to go sightseeing in Kumamoto.
